Actually, you and Russia have already lost plenty. You’re no longer to be trusted by anyone, not even by your friends. And neither is Russia in a world scenario.
I guess you began realising that you by chance own plenty of toys. Too many toys. War tanks, jet planes, navy ships… Not to mention as well, nuclear weapons. That have cost a lot. And that it was a shame not to give them full use.
This is what one can think to try to explain what’s happening in Ukraine to a child. As for explaining this to an adult… As we are used to say so often in my country…

And in the end, she offered this soldier a handful of sunflower seeds for him to keep them in their uniform pockets. She said that once he would be buried in Ukraine, flowers would be growing from his grave. And that would be fine, since no one will go there to put any flowers in his honour.
This is so brutal, yet so poetic, at the same time. So alike the braveness of a slavic woman. And I know of a girl* that I can picture her to be able to do the very same thing…
I might be just another clown - like the ukrainian president was before elected - or a hopeless joker... But I can't help myself but to write these lines with tears in my eyes.
It's just unbelievable, so many lives being lost to stupidity!...
